Heartland Equine Experiences

Healing Horses & Humans

Heartland Equine Experiences exists to help and serve others (horses and humans) to have a more peaceful and fulfilling life.  This mission is achieved through service provision of life coaching, equine experiential learning, storytelling (books and public speaking) and heart circle for humans.

For horses, this achieved through equine body work and equine essential oils which are based on understanding each horse’s needs to support their physical, mental, energetic and emotional wellbeing.

Equine Essential Oils & Body Work Testimonial

For many years Elizabeth has performed Equine Touch and the Equine Raindrop Technique on my herd of 2 which later grew to 3 standardbred horses.  At first they were case studies as she completed her Level 2 Equine Touch training.  I kept her coming monthly after her training was completed because my horses were so relaxed and happy after the sessions.  Elizabeth’s intuitive abilities were excellent but deepened and grew over the time she worked with my horses.  Early in the time-span she picked up the signs of an ulcer in my mare and we were able to treat her successfully.  Also, Elizabeth noticed one of the geldings who appeared to be fine was sore in the stifle and was diagnosed with arthritis which we again were able to treat and minimize his pain. Her ability to communicate with horses and her knowledge and handling skills never ceased to impress me. The fact that I paid Elizabeth to work on my horses is a testament to her skills as I can give Reiki to my horses myself but I felt they received an extra level of healing from Elizabeth’s work.  I would happily recommend Elizabeth to assist with the health and well-being of horses.

Equine Experiential Learning Testimonial

My experiences with Elizabeth in equine experiential learning sessions has been uplifting and inspiring.
Elizabeth is able to hold the space allowing ‘magic’ to happen and in so doing help facilitate my
journey forward in confidence and courage. Her insight is given in a very timely manner which
prompts you to truly listen to the beat of your own heart with the horses also reflecting this,
sometimes in the most profound way. Thank you Elizabeth and your herd.

Equine Raindrop Technique Testimonial

At an Essential Oils workshop in Bridgetown participants Jaq and Candice Dahlstrom permitted an Equine Raindrop Technique (ERT) to be performed on their horse Copper. Candice gave a brief history of Copper’s history which included neglect and starvation. Copper clearly enjoyed the session, relaxing into the process and demonstrating release signals such as chewing, licking, dropping his head and stretching. Candice provided the following updates two weeks after the workshop….

Copper is doing amazing since his ERT! I am riding him now at trials and he is full of energy like a keg of dynamite! He feels much better and is no longer dragging his hind leg. He no longer twinges with my constant getting on and off for each race. Copper is definitely more alive since the Equine Raindrop. And he isn't doing his bolting trick so that is amazing and great.

After I sent the first update, Copper just wanted to run so I had him doing lots of dressage moves in the middle of the track. We were doing canter 2 time changes, leg yielding at canter and trot, extended trot and canter and not once did he drag his hind like he used to - he was actually using his back end!!

Life Coaching Testimonial

Working with Elizabeth has been great, using a clear life coaching process - the ten steps - has provided a holistic foundation to make real, lasting changes in my life.  Some of the steps were packed with a greater “wow” factor than others, but it is the whole process that helped achieve the outcomes I was looking for.

Horses, Heartache & Healing Book Review

After receiving Elizabeth’s book as a gift I wasn’t in a hurry to read it. The last thing I wanted  was to be drawn into somebody’s emotionally draining and traumatic past, so it sat on my bedside table for about six months.  When I was eventually ready to open myself up to Elizabeth’s story I was very pleasantly surprised. I was immediately drawn in by a heart-warming and touching account of Elizabeth’s journey. Elizabeth’s words resonated and inspired and I couldn’t wait to turn each page.

I really wanted to thank you for doing this work and holding the space for me. I am sure at times it's frustrating as I learn to reconnect with myself, but so grateful to have the time/safe space to learn and grow more and connect with myself when I have these beautiful interactions with the herd and your wise words. The best thing I love about this style/modality is that the “aha” moments don't end after a session, they keep coming and things become clearer with time (messages/insights I get).

I received the parcel just before weekend last week. I read your book in 2 days. I just couldn't put it down. So much of it resonated with me. I cried so many times especially after Chapter 2. It is a marvelous work.

I love all that Elizabeth offers from being inspired by her life journey to feeling totally supported in my own journey. Elizabeth’s holistic approach for body mind and spirit  and with her intuitive, wise and knowledgeable way has guided me to start my own business. I am most grateful to Elizabeth for helping me to build my resilience by never judging my ideas or thoughts only by being encouraging to turn my frightening thought of having a business into one that is now reality and I am passionate about and truly proud of.

I have just completed reading your book again (for the second time)….as wonderful as it is to read and re-read your story, (and yes it still makes me cry), I have decided it is a life journey guide book. Thank you for sharing and reminding me that this life is not about control but traversing through with trust, grace, good humour, good friends and acknowledging our truths and treasuring the kindred spirits we find on our way….many blessings from my home to yours.

Horses, Heartache & Healing Book Review

As I sit here reading with tears running down my face I’m reminded of how precious animals are. How they feel all the same emotions we do. They deserve to be cherished and loved. We are truly blessed to have them be apart of ours lives ❤️

Early on in the program we did a guided meditation which brought up some emotional baggage from my past.  When we went to meet the herd I connected with one of the patriarchs – a 24 year old wild born gelding named Carranya.  We experienced a connection and I thought, when the time came for 1-on-1 interactions I would work with him.

However when Lilly, a grey mare rescued from Earaheedy Station came into the round yard, I knew she was the horse for me.  I entered the round yard for my interaction with her and experienced a great sense of stillness as we came into the centre of the yard and simply stood and breathed together.  Then I felt an unexpected sense of anxiety.  Lilly walked away from me at that moment so I practiced the grounding technique we had been taught and when I felt I had shifted my anxiety and returned to the present moment, I asked Lilly to walk with me a short way.  She did so in unison with me, freely - it was a rich reminder to fully engage in all aspects of my life – even the anxiety.

Horses, Heartache & Healing Book Review

I read your book last week and couldn't put it down until finished! It was tremendously moving, bringing me to tears and laughter throughout. I've always loved horses, but needless to say, your story has given me a whole new perspective of horses, and I can't wait to someday meet Sophie, and of course Aleppo and the others! Truly appreciate you sharing this magnificent adventure in your life, along with all the personal details that allowed us to feel the life changing emotions that you both experienced. So much ‘take away’ for me on the personal level, which is already helping me with my past, and no doubt the future – in fact I have read page 114 in particular to several people to share your brilliant insight on communicating with others. Again, thank you for sharing this extraordinary part of your life with us.
