Meet the Herd

Elizabeth’s Heartland Herd comprises 5 horses, 3 of which were wild born and rescued from drought and starvation. Earaheedy Sophie and her half-sister Earaheedy Lilly were rescued as orphaned 3-4 month old foals on Earaheedy Station. Gunnadorah Sally was rescued as an 18 month old, saved from becoming pet meat. These mares are all now 12 years old, thriving and enjoying life in the south west of Western Australia and being involved in light ridden work and equine experiential learning work. The two youngsters in the herd are Rafa Skye (Earaheedy Lilly’s daughter who was born in 2012) and Rafa Aleppo (Earaheedy Sophie’s son who was born in 2013).
